No. Reiki energy works equally as well with the healer’s hands held above the recipient’s body.
Does Reiki or Crystal Healing hurt at all?
There is no pain as the healing does not involve any form of manipulation of the recipient’s body.
Is Reiki aligned to any Religion?
Reiki is Spiritual in nature and not a religion. You are not asked about your religious beliefs and are
free to believe anything you choose to believe.
Would I have to stop seeing my regular doctor or medical professional so that I could have a Reiki or Crystal treatment?
Definitely NO. Both Reiki and Crystal healing work in line with regular medical and psychological
treatments. Reiki works in harmony with all other forms of healing.
Is it safe for pregnant women?
Reiki is guided by the Higher Power and the energy given will know the condition of the recipient and adjust appropriately. Reiki is sometimes given at childbirth too giving great benefit to both mother and child. Babies love Reiki too, and it’s very healthy for them. As the energy adjusts it will
automatically adjust to the baby’s needs.
Can children have Reiki?
The treatments are perfectly safe for children. The treatments are usually reduced in length as the
child could become restless.
Is it ok having Reiki on a broken bone?
As long as the broken bones are set in a cast it is fine. Reiki’s efficiency to heal bones is remarkable in the early stages of the break, and if the bone is not set properly it may not heal correctly.
What affect does Reiki have on Diabetes?
Reiki can be given but it has been shown on a few occasions to affect the levels of insulin required by the body. As long as the recipient monitors the insulin levels it is fine.
I am disabled and in a wheelchair. How would I be able to have Reiki?
Reiki will be channelled from the head downwards and can be sent through the chair.
It is an intelligent energy, and will flow to where it is needed if the suggested hand positions cannot
be used.
I have heard that Reiki can be used on plants. Is this true?
As Reiki works with the natural energy of the Universe, it can be used on plants to strengthen them
and encourage growth.
What about side effects?
Reiki does not have the side effects that you may be having due to conventional medicine. Reiki releases blockages from within the body. If there is an intense release of the emotions the
recipient may find themselves either crying or laughing and this is perfectly natural. Letting go of all
the stuck emotions can feel strange or uncomfortable.
For the majority of people there will be a feeling of peace, contentment and calmness. Thoughts may become clearer and feelings more balanced. You will be in harmony with yourself.
How often should I have a treatment?
Initially, three or four sessions over the first two weeks are recommended. This helps to remove deep-rooted blocks in your energy system. Thereafter, once a week or once every two weeks is
recommended, until the issue has resolved. Usually a subtle improvement is noticed even after the
first session.
How Can I Use Animal Reiki to Better Help My Pets?
Animals are more receptive to energy exchanges. The most proactive approach to our animal
health is to encourage a healthy flowing energetic system for them and thereby in some cases keep
energy blocks from forming in the first place.
